Sun’s out, hat’s on! While a ball cap is usually my hat of choice, sometimes you just need a wider brim to protect you from the sun.
Don’t you love the lighter color palette of this outfit? I sure do. It’s so summery. I gravitate towards black so often, but it’s refreshing to switch things up and lighten up.
A good pair of rubber sandals is invaluable to me in the summer time. I want something that can handle getting wet at the pool or muddy in the garden. But I also want something that can blend in with my minimalist style — I don’t want anything that screams garden shoes — so I like a simple black pair of slides. As summer continues, the lines between fashion and function blur, and I’m more likely to wear my garden sandals out and about instead of switching to nicer sandals, but it works if the shoe is simple and neutral.

Hi Caroline, I love your style so much! I’m so glad you’re back posting again. I noticed in a couple of posts now when you wear blazers, how do you keep the cuffs pushed up on your arms? Is there a trick? It just looks so lovely.
Hi Gena! The sleeves of this blazer aren’t actually full length, but are 3/4 length and sewn to look pushed up. However, with other blazers that have full length sleeves, sometimes I’ll use an elastic hair tie or something similar to bunch and hold up the sleeves. :)
