I was referring to the botched kicking session in OT when I talked about putting an end to everyone’s misery. I think I set myself up for a stress-related tumor later in life after watching that game.

I, for one, love a great defensive struggle. There is a big difference between watching two inept offenses not being able to score and watching two dominating defenses shutting each other down.

I was on the edge of my seat through the entire game.

Charlie, EVERY team has at least a couple of cupcakes on the schedule, because they need those easy wins to give their players a bit of a breather and to perhaps increase their confidence a little. Michigan State made the mistake several years ago of scheduling practically nobody but power conference schools for their non-conference slate and went into Big Ten play with a sub-.500 overall record before flaming out in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Also, we did beat Virginia, an ACC school. Granted, an ACC school that’s likely to finish lower than their bitter rivals in Blacksburg.

What could we possibly gain from playing a team like this. Esp after last year’s scheduling debacle this is simply a no-win situation. But then again, we’ve lost to the only quality teams we actually scheduled this year so bring on the cupcakes!

Agreed. I think PSU wins comfortably but that 24 spread is a bit steep for a team that’s probably going to lack all motivation whatsoever.
