Reasons I Love College Football: EA Sports NCAA Football Series

I’ll never forget my first foray with the NCAA franchise as you and I know it. My cousin and I rented NCAA 2002 from the local Blockbuster for my cousin’s PS2. Up to this point, my only football gaming experiences were of the pro variety (i.e. Madden, Tecmo Bowl, NES Play Action Football) and needless to say, I was blown away: “Holy crap! Option plays? Fight songs? Authentic stadiums? Recruiting? This is amazing! It was also right after those thoughts that I broke a 90-yard option keeper for a TD with Nebraska’s Eric Crouch, much like in the video below.
The following year, EA Sports expanded the franchise to the Gamecube and Xbox platforms, which allowed me to begin my yearly ritual of purchasing the latest edition of NCAA Football. Since then, the franchise has added tons of new bells and whistles such as online play, Campus Legend mode (where you assume the role of a high school player and try to get recruited by the big-time schools and become a stud there), and stadium crowd noise affecting the visiting team.
Now, don’t get me wrong, those are all excellent features, but if you REALLY want to change the mind of skeptics who’d rather wait another month until Madden is released you need to resort to drastic measures such as this:
That’s right, the power of Erin Andrews compels you..Starting today for only $59.99 at your local reatiler. Happy Holidays.
