Notre Dame “Goo Punch”
Yeah, it was only the NIT semis. Yeah, there’s still one more game left for the Fighting DeChellises against a stingy Baylor squad…But come on folks, this is NOTRE DAME we just beat and as all PSU supporters know, there’s no greater feeling on Planet Earth than beating Notre Dame…even if it’s a Scrabble competition.
What we saw tonight was a team that is clicking on all cylinders right now. The only thing that can stop them is themselves (or if Pringle gets caught “chillin” someplace other than his hotel room). Cornley could play with one arm if need be, AJ III has finally realized that he’s a good post player (as evidenced from his career-high 15 rebounds and solid defensive performance tonight), Pringle is a speed demon and a dynamite shooter who can blow by defenders and appropriately did a quality Dr. J impersonation in one of the NBA’s most famous arenas, and Talor you know by now what you’re gonna get out of him: Just do a search for him on YouTube and you’ll see what I mean…
So, with that all being said, excuse me while I fire up another “Goo Punch” dance party for the masses.
